About The Author - Lida Logan

Lida Logan grew up in Bournemouth, the Isle of Wight and Devon with unconventional and resourceful parents.

After leaving home at seventeen for a bedsit in London and a typing job, she married early and had a son, Steve. In the mid-sixties she persuaded a small computer programming firm to train her as a computer programmer, and worked for 14 years in the computer industry in its early days.

In the 'seventies she bought her own house which she and Steve shared with others as a co-operative household. This was the time when self-sufficiency was all the rage, and hoping to join the movement she moved to the country where for seventeen years she offered vegetarian bed and breakfast, grew vegetables, tried her hand at carpentry, sold vegetarian ready-meals, and taught vegetarian cookery and bread-making.

She met her second husband at a creative writing class in 1978, but although she had kept a journal since 1971, writing did not begin to play an important part in her life until 2002.

Since 1982 Lida has followed a spiritual path embracing Indian philosophy, as exemplified by the Bhagavad Gita, and also modern spiritual masters such as Eckhart Tolle, Thich Nhat Hanh and Byron Katie, and this is an essential part of her life.

Lida lives in North Norfolk with her husband and two grey cats.
